The innovation strategy in the exports of Colombian Firms: A Resource Base View

Abstract
On theory the internationalization of firms are the combinations of macro level and micro level specific resources. This research is aiming to understand the relationship between the technological innovation of firms (R&D, new processes product upgrade and new products/services) and the internalization by exports, to find which technological innovation increase the amount of export on the Colombian firms. The study support previously examined relationships between R&D (both internal and external), product, process innovations, and the degree of (export intensity) and advance on contemplating the internal and external exports. Empirical analyses carried out on this relationship provide useful implications for innovation policies i.e. public supports that aim at stimulating innovation performance and at encouraging innovative efforts in Colombian firms.
