Abstract

The present research studies the numerical methods for resolving Bernoulli’s divisive statistical stability, because it is difficult to find analytical solutions for the largest number of stochastic divisive calculations. We found a new way for Bernoulli by adding white noise. Price measurement was achieved with a variety of selected models, and we realized through the solutions that the larger the (n) we find, the more we find the direct solution that approaches zero, and the error rate that approaches zero. The difference between a numerical solution and a direct solution has been observed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the tax tariff rates utilized by the South Sudan Tax Administration to worldwide norms, analyze the problems faced by the Tax Administration in producing national income, and, finally, establish taxpayer duties. Because this was a descriptive study, both quantitative and qualitative designs were highly important. The study used secondary data, with the majority of the information coming from the South Sudan Custom Tariff Valuation Manual of the Ministry of Finance and Planning.  This study was significant in the sense that it compared tax Tariff rates used in South Sudan with the rest of the world, particularly the East Africa Region. According to the findings, the majority of the import or export duty levies on the selected items were 10% import duty on the items presented in the tables; general sale tax ranged from 15% to 18%, and business profit tax on food items ranged from 2% to 4%. The main challenges encountered by the South Sudan Tax Administration were an insufficient number of qualified Tax Officers; limited job jurisdiction; political instability/instability; economic instability; a lack of Taxpayers’ Education; a lack of staff capacity building; un-procedural recruitment; and significant tax avoidance. This study has recorded a number of limitations. Among them was insufficient data on tax tariffs in the context of South Sudan; COVID-19 restriction measures greatly influenced the data collection. The outcome of this study was to embrace and adopt the tax harmonization system to international standards. The strengthening of the Tax Administration with more power can help them to improve those challenges that affect their operations. Harmonization of tax rates on import and export goods can play a great role in revenue transformation as well as the strengthening of taxpayers. Education can embrace more revenue collection.

Abstract

The decrease in power supply in the country has caused economic problems to small scale industries; one major problem attributed to this is inadequate planning mechanism that will forecast the required amount of power that will be needed to feed the entire population .Power system engineers had used all the conventional methods improve power supply. This issue of not having adequate forecasting mechanism in power generation network that will adequately serve the entire public is overcome by optimized electric power generation expansion planning using decomposition technique, It is achieve in this manner, characterizing the existing output power capacities of the electric power generating plants under study, Forecasting    of the load demand of the power generating plants under study, exterminating of percentage power generating capacity contribution and power generating capacity projected contribution to the National Grid, developing a Model for Decomposition Technique, Integrating SIMULINK Model in the Decomposition Technique. The results obtained are in 2009 the residential power demand by numerous consumers is 8075.00MW and the power demand in ten years is 10214.03MW and the commercial power demand is 2009 is 3865.50MW while the forecast power demand by this sector in ten years’ time when decomposition technique is introduced in the system is 5481.65MW.With these results, it shows that the power demand in ten years’ time is 41.9% generation power expansion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the literature by investigating the impact of microcredit programs on how individuals perceive microcredit and the facts about it.This study also investigates the efficiency of management policies of microcredit institutions in targeting the ‘real’ poor. Lastly, provide some insights on how to enhance these programs’ effectiveness in alleviating poverty. This study adds to the existing literature, which found that microcredit programs had a positive impact on participants’ income, expenditure, quality, quantity, and education. Furthermore, the findings show a significant relationship between microcredit and an increase in the recipient’s business profits and capital in countries such as Bangladesh. The researchers discovered, however, that providing microcredit was able to increase individuals’ feelings of empowerment and independence. Moreover, the targeting criteria of microcredit institutions are found to be very efficient in being able to reach the extreme poor. Finally, the study referred to common challenges in the microfinance business that, apparently, microfinance institutions in Bangladesh are facing.

Abstract

International migration has emerged as an important aspect of Bangladesh in the context of surplus labour and unemployment. As our resource is limited comparing to the large population, it is difficult to create job opportunities for all. Therefore, a portion of Bangladeshi labourers temporarily goes abroad for their livelihood and return after certain period. There are many obstacles in going abroad where high migration cost is the highest one and it is a serious bar to economic profitability in migration. This paper aims at finding out the overall cost condition of migration and its negatives effects.  Both type of primary and secondary data is used in this study. Primary data is collected through questionnaire survey from three districts of Bangladesh and the secondary data from the reports of national and international organizations and scholarly articles.  It is found that the cost of migration is very high in Bangladesh compared to neighboring countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal and others. The cost burden ruins migrant’s life cycle psychologically and economically. In fact, the responsible authorities fail to reduce cost burden of expatriates. This study will bring the gruesomeness of migration cost to the fore of policy makers that will play a vital role in realizing the unexpected situation.  Policy makers and concern authorities can pay more attention and provide logistic support to reduce migration cost. This will increase migration and volume of inward remittances, and will bring back comport to migrant’s life.

Abstract

The quality of hotel services has great importance in contemporary business and hotels, because of the changes that the world has witnessed and the increase in competition between organizations to provide high-quality services. Improving the quality of services is a very important issue as a result of the pressures that most companies face due to the increase in competitors, customer complaints, or the desire to increase sales. In this context, the purpose of the study tended towards analyzing the reality of the use of information technology in improving the level of hotel services by addressing the concept and quality of hotel service and the extent to which the study sample uses these applications from the point of view of the customers of the searched hotels. In addition to clarifying the dimensions of the quality of hotel services to match specifications needed for those services, a structure has been designed according to previous research methodology, assuming there is a correlation affected by the information technology dimension with the quality of hotel services. The researchers found that the interest in the elements and types of quality did not reach the required level, which led to achieving the dimensions of quality. The current study also found that the majority of hotels have a website that is used to obtain information about competing hotels and customers in order to provide better services and thus achieve a competitive advantage. The hotel management’s reliance on bilateral contacts and providing feedback, which is, answering customers’ inquiries and giving them the information they need in order to obtain high-quality hotel services.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of China’s investment on the business environment and Economic growth of Sub-Saharan Africa countries in the perspective of BRI. The study used a neoclassical growth of Solow-type growth model and panel data analysis from the period of 2003 to 2018 on 43 SSA countries for the investment. Two panel regressions were estimated using time and country fixed effects through the fixed effect study result showed that the Chinese investment in the perspective of BRI has positive and statically significant effect on the economic growth and business environment of Sub-Saharan African countries. Which the Chinese investment studied in SSA countries is not a threat and normalized the negative attitude of some western researchers about Sino-Africa. China should have to revise the policy of investment in all countries in the region. Before Chinese FDI flow to the region it should have to study the environment for investment, business, policy and need of the countries. Chinese FDI should have assurance new knowledge, capital and infrastructure in the SSA countries to develop their business policy towards BRI. Besides, there is luck of full data and information of the Chinese FDI to SSA which has a limits research and complete analysis to help policy making with difficult measuring because of all each country has different resources, political systems and histories which has a lack of a uniform and clear model does not all variables might exact influence to the economic growth. Finally, it has an advantage to SSA countries and it will help for the future base of Sino-Africa BRI research and emphasized both relationships.

Abstract

Compared with western developed countries, China’s lawyer industry is still in the primary stage of development. The turnover intention of legal practitioners is more obvious, and the turnover phenomenon is more common. From the perspective of the reasons for leaving, the actual effect of law firms on the career management of legal practitioners plays an important role. At the same time, most legal practitioners are concerned about their career development status. Especially for young legal practitioners, if they cannot get substantial growth in their work, they will sprout obvious turnover intention. It seems that career management and career development have a significant inhibitory effect on turnover intention. However, it has a strong theoretical and practical value to explore the relationship between the three in detail using quantitative research and empirical analysis. On the one hand, this study addressed the gap for the limitation of the current academic research in related fields; it positively promoted the development of China’s lawyer industry. This research will take Jiangsu Province of China as the source of the research samples to analyze the related problems of legal practitioners in Jiangsu law firms. This study explores career management and career development on turnover intention and draws scientific and reliable research conclusions through empirical analysis. Finally, it puts forward relevant suggestions to reduce the turnover intention of legal practitioners in law firms.

Abstract

In order to improve R & D efficiency and reduce R & D cost, pharmaceutical enterprises are willing to split up multiple stages of new drug R & D, and in the form of signing contracts, outsourcing part of pharmaceutical R & D business is carried out to professional organisations. These organisations undertaking R & D outsourcing services are called Contract Research Organization (CRO). Because of the rapid change of market, diversified demand and increasingly fierce competition, CRO is facing key problems such as enterprise development, service level and talent echelon. By adopting a flexible business model and adapting to the market demand quickly, enterprises can keep core competitiveness and realise sustainable development in the fierce market competition. Given this, this study focuses on the business model innovation of contract research organisation. Through literature, the paper analyses the important factors related to business model innovation and then use the research model of the actual enterprise questionnaire to complete the empirical research. Further reference to domestic and foreign literature, the corresponding questionnaire scale is formulated. After the preliminary verification of the reliability and validity of the pre-survey questionnaire, the legal issue of the questionnaire for empirical analysis. Then, the data of 213 effective questionnaires were collected by SAS software and excel.  This study suggests that China’s contract research organisation should attach great importance to the innovation of business model and increase investment in the whole process of knowledge management to increase the internal innovation source power of enterprises. China’s contract research organisation should arrange the technical innovation in the direction of big data artificial intelligence in advance and formulate a complete risk management plan to significantly improve enterprise performance and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.

Abstract

The knowledge on the nutritional status of pregnant women in Bangladesh is not enough. About 60% of South Asian women have underweight children due to a lack of healthy food and nutrition during their childhood. Pregnant women are the main victims of unhealthy eating habits, which are responsible for malnutrition. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess knowledge and attitudes about nutrition among pregnant women in the rural areas of Dhaka, Bangladesh. A brief and descriptive study was conducted in four randomly selected villages in Nawabganj district in Dhaka, Bangladesh with 384 randomly selected pregnant women. Data were collected from respondents using a semi-structured questionnaire by face-to-face interviews, after taking participants’ verbal consent. The SPSS 20 model is used for data entry and analysis. The findings of the study indicate that more than half of the respondent’s level of knowledge about nutrition was excellent or good but only 43.0% respondents had excellent or good attitude towards nutrition. The level of knowledge was strongly associated with the age of respondents, the type of family and the number of pregnancies and the level of attitude was strongly associated with the age of the respondent and the number of pregnancies. Based on the results of the study, it can be recommended that healthy nutrition education should be strengthened to empower rural mothers to understand the importance of nutritious food during pregnancy. Long-term study on a large scale with the similar population can help to generalize the findings.

Abstract

The concept of green HRM was appeared in 1990s and globally accepted in 2000s. Like others organization, commercial banks in Bangladesh have also adopted green HRM. In today’s competitive business situation, organizations want to see bottom line result of their initiatives. Though Green HRM sounds an environmental issue, it may also have association with non environmental factors. The core objective of this paper is to investigate that assumption. Employees of commercial banks operating in Bangladesh were the population of the study. For the purpose of the study, author selected a sample size of 100 employees with the technique of convenient random sampling and collected data through a self-administrative questionnaire. The paper deployed both online and field survey to collect primary data. Responses were measured with Likert 5 point scales ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree. To attain the research objectives, author applied nonparametric test including Mann-Whitney U test, Spearman’s rho and Kendall’s tau_b Correlation and descriptive statistics with SPSS 22. Descriptive statistics evinces that commercial banks are practicing green HRM (mean=3.84, SD=. 35) while result of Mann-Whitney U test indicates (U=459.0, p=.000) that public commercial banks and private commercial banks differ in green HRM implementation. Private commercial banks are implementing more green policy in comparison to public commercial banks. Result of Spearman’s rho and Kendall’s tau_b Correlation confirm that green HRM has positive strong association with individual performance including task performance and productive behavior and the relation is significant. Moreover, the study found weak relation of green HRM with contextual performance but the relation is not statistically significant. Finally, the paper recommended that there is a huge room for improvement in implementing green HRM by public commercial banks and more empirical research with robust statistical analysis is the demand of time to get more insight about green HRM in Bangladesh.
