Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) has grown quickly and receives considerable interest in academia and the market. However, the absence of basic technologies in protection leads to risks and security flaws in IoT privacy. IoT technologies vary from a mission-critical predicament to business-oriented applications (for example, smart grid networks, smart mobility systems, video monitoring, and eHealth) (e.g., Banking, transportation and contract law insurance) (Askar et al., 2011; Al Majeed et al, 2014). Comprehensive security support is required for IoT, particularly for task-critical applications and for business applications downstream. There have been proposals and/or utilizations of some safety methods or approaches. The platform blockchain has been suggested as an outsourced and distributed solution to guarantee protection standards and to motivate the growth of the IoT due to its decentralization and disclosure. A Blockchain is a database that store sequential manner, in multiple machine memories faulty to its opponents, any processed transactions – or records. Both participating customers share these purchases. The details shall not be stored as a public directory; each node user or device is equipped with the same directory as any other node user. In this article, present the basic blockchain structure and outline the safety criteria for developing IoT and then discuss how the IoT using’s protection tools and technologies can be used via BC. Also identify the most pertinent IoT technology frameworks based on blockchain. In addition, reviewing numbers of researches provides securing IoT based on BC finally, discuss several challenges will face of IoT and BC.

Abstract

Fog computing (FC) is a new architecture that aims to reduce network pressures throughout the core network as well as the cloud computing (CC) by bringing resource-intensive functions like computation, analytics, connectivity, also storage, nearest to the clients. In their operations, FC systems can make use of intelligence features to reap the benefits of data that is readily accessible with computing resources to be able to resolve the problem of excessive energy use with power for Internet-of-Things (IoT) apps that require speed. It generates large volumes of data, prompting the creation of a growing number of FC apps and services. Furthermore, Deep Learning (DL), an important field, has made significant progress in a variety of research areas, including robotics, face recognition, neuromorphic computing, decision-making, computer graphics, and speech recognition. Several studies have been suggested to look at how to use DL to solve FC issues. DL has become more common these days to improve FC apps as well as provide fog services such as security, resource management, accuracy, delay, and energy reduction, cost, data processing, and traffic modeling. The current review paper will focus on how to provide an overview of DL functions throughout the FC sector. The DL implementation for FC has evolved into powerful clients with services at the highest level, allowing for deeper analytics and mission answers that are more intelligent.

Abstract

Due to the rapid accelerated development of IoT technologies, the traditional generation cloud computing model is faced with a range of problems, including high latency, low bandwidth, and network problems. Fog computing is a new promising feature that enables legitimate cloud application services will be provided close to something like the physical IoT device at the edge devices rather than in the cloud. It’s a layer that lies between the cloud and the Iot. computers that enables unified internet-based computing. How about sending IoT information to the cloud, the fog processes and stores it remotely at IoT computers. The fog in comparison to the cloud, offers resources that are more sensitive and of higher quality. As a result, fog computing could be the best option for enabling the IoT to deliver effective and reliable services to a huge number of IoT clients. After that, we’ll go over some of the literature and outline the findings.

SDN Based Fog Computing: A Review Shavan Askar, Baydaa Hassan Husain, Tarik A. Rashid

SDN Based Fog Computing: A Review

Abstract

Fog Computing (FC) is a system that connects cloud computing (CC) with the Internet of Things (IoT). It contributes to easier data transfer between cloud and IoT servers as it makes them closer to each other. FC effectively replaces the services, such as applications and information, at or near the cloud. This limits the bandwidth consumption, decreases delay and facilitates maximum network reliability since the data must not be transmitted to its intended destination or travel long distances. While Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a network engineering technique that permits network control and ‘programming’ through software applications in an intelligent and centralized way. It is a technology that provides greater programming and flexibility for networks by the separation of the control plane from the data plane. The software-based networks will respond to changes effectively in CC. The SDN presidency increases the efficiency of network setup and enhances network performance and reporting. To improve network efficiency, SDN can be built into FC. In this paper, we first defined FC and touched on its architecture and benefits, relying on the sources of previous studies. Secondly, we defined SDN and explained its components in detail with its method of operation, its benefits, and its impact on networks, and then we presented the method of combining the SDN with FC and the benefits of that. Finally, after relying on a large number of previous researches, we presented some applications that use these two methods together. The results were all indicating improvement in the work of networks in the various applications that were integrated between SDN and FC.

Abstract

The target of the study was to measure the performance of commercial banks using an index of financial inclusion (FII). Time series data about eight indicators of commercial banks have been used for the desired purpose. The study used both indicators indices (d1, d2, d3, d4, d5, d6, d7, d8), and dimensions indices (D1, D2, D3) to form the financial inclusion index (FII). The variables used are deposit accounts, loan accounts, branches of banks, ATMs, outstanding deposits as % of GDP, and outstanding loan as % of GDP. Performance of commercial banks is increasing over time as a whole based on all indicators, except in outstanding deposits as % of GDP (d7) which has downward trend since 2015. Based on the index of financial inclusion of commercial banks, Bangladesh entered into medium level of financial inclusion in 2010 and high level of financial inclusion in 2015. Rather establishing new banks in the economy, Bangladesh needed to expand banking services to people through establishment of new branches of existing banks, ATMs, and agent banking outlets to ensure the financial inclusion of unbanked people.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors of adopting hybrid rice cultivation in Bangladesh using Probit model. It is conducted through collecting data from the primary sources following random sampling technique. To identify the determinants hybrid rice adoption by applying Probit model, the proportion of hybrid rice area under all rice varieties is used as dependent variable, whereas some specific variables which may affect the hybrid rice cultivation are used as independent variables. The result of Probit model shows that age, education, agricultural extension department, BADC, NGO, and company are positively significant factors in encouraging hybrid rice adoption. In the opposite, farm size and the source of information are significant but negatively related to adoption of hybrid rice cultivation in Bangladesh. This study may provide great insights to the policy makers and agro-researchers to take the right initiatives for expanding hybrid rice cultivation, thus, contributing effectively to achieve the targets of sustainable development goals – like making hunger free country.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at the impact of accounting data on managerial decision-making. The study focuses on how accounting data may be used in management decision-making and  there are any obstacles that managers encounter while making decisions. The study also aimed to figure out how accounting data influences managerial decisions. A descriptive survey research approach was used in this study. Local Commercial Banks in Juba, South Sudan, were used for the research. A total of 80 people were selected as part of the sample. The data for the study was obtained using both primary and secondary data sources. Questionnaires and interviews were the primary data collecting methods. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 16.0) software was used to analyze the data, with the “distribution tables displaying Frequencies, Percentages, and graphs” being used in particular. Tables were used to display the findings. The majority of employees at local commercial banks claimed that accounting information is critical in management decision making, and the study also discovered that accounting information of high quality may lead to excellent decision making. The study recommends that accounting information be kept well for future managerial decision making, that managers who are interested in accounting information should have knowledge of accounting principles, that the interpretation of accounting information requires a higher level of accounting knowledge, that knowledge and skills are required, and that the accounting section be well staffed. In terms of practical implications, the study’s goal was to contribute to academic disciplines and recognize the importance of accounting data in management decision-making.
